Applications have started for the Türkan Saylan Art Award, which was initiated by the Association for Support to Contemporary Life in memory of Prof. Dr. Türkan Saylan and presented to writers who work in the field of stories every year.

Since 2010, ÇYDD has given science and art awards to keep the name and understanding of Türkan Saylan alive.

The Türkan Saylan Art Award, which is given to keep alive the memory of  Prof. Dr. Türkan Saylan, the unforgettable Chairman of CYDD, awaits all authors whose story books are published between January 1st and December 31st, 2022. The Selection Committee of the award, which is given to one storyteller every year, consists of Prof. Dr. Ayşe Yüksel (On Behalf of ÇYDD, ÇYDD Chairman), Turhan Günay (Chairman of the Selection Committee), Sezer Ateş Ayvaz, Nursel Duruel, Birsen Ferahlı, Mehmet Zaman Saçlıoğlu, and Ayşe Sarısayın.

Applicants must deliver their CVs and contact information, along with 8 copies of their storybooks, to the Association of Support to Contemporary Life Headquarters by hand or by mail, until February 20, 5 PM.

The storybooks that will participate in the competition must not have received any awards before, while authors who have won the same award before will not be able to participate in the competition.

If the Selection Committee deems it necessary, the works that pass the preliminary evaluation among the storybooks will be listed in the shortlist, and the result of the competition will be announced in May.
