Çağdaş Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği (ÇYDD) worked with resolution in its journey to reach perfection and was awarded with the Three Stars in Perfection Certificate and joined the National Quality Movement (UKH).

ÇYDD will be a leader in Turkey and an example in the World

Association for Supporting Contemporary Life (CYDD), aims to reach contemporary society via contemporary education for contemporary people and to protect Atatürk’s principles,  received the Three Stars in Perfection Certificate and joined the National Quality Movement (UKH).  ÇYDD ‘s vision is to be “a leader in Turkey and an example in the World” and wishes to move faster  in its journey to perfection with the counselling and support of KalDer.

ÇYDD Headquarters board member Dr. F. Gül Tekalpan stated that ÇYDD is a non-governmental organization working to modernize the country. She believes there are two paths for organizations and corporations that  do not have the  management structure and technology  compatible with the modern world. She said that this situation was a great threat for all organization in developing countries “We should take the science and knowledge of the west, blend it with our own values to create and develop an authentic model integrated with the modern world and have a voice in the world or fall behind the changes and become inactive. ÇYDD has chosen the first path and taking into account its own values and organizational structure, has created  a development model. Having lost its leader of 20 years at a time when the organization was most vulnerable, ÇYDD has chosen to strengthen its organizational structure and create a system independent of individuals.

“We continue with resolution”

Tekalpan said “The journey to perfection began in 2009 and firm steps have been taken ever since. Within the corporate development work, we are running many operations to create standards in the entire association- branches and the headquarters. We started with creating organizational charts , writing directives, work and task definitions, work flows and continued with system integrations with branches, both for accounting and activity reports. Volunteers among our members were trained in various fields and in turn sent to branches as auditors and trainers. Our 108 branches are grouped into 17 work groups named after birds from the “Legend of Simurgh” and these groups meet twice a year with a common agenda. We began to prepare 2 year strategical plans since 2014.Branches meet once a year and revise these plans. Progress in associations working on a volunteer basis is much slower compared to commercial corporations but we have been working towards our goal step by step since 2009.”
