Turkish Thorax Association donated books to 100 schools in 7 regions of Turkey as a new year gift of their 4500 members.

The president of the association Prof. Dr. Arzu Yorgancıoğlu said "Like we did last year,instead of sending new year presents to our members, we donated books to 100 schools in 7 regions of Turkey in their name.Each book parcel sent had 45 books.We thus reached our goal of one book donated for every one of our 4500 members"

Books were bought from Yapı Kredi Publications with  a 45\% discount and Yapı Kredi sent the book parcels to schools free of charge.Çağdaş Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği assisted in finding the schools that needed the books.

She also said" With this campaign we hope to make a small contribution to the development of the children we reached. The thank you notes we have received from the teachers made us really happy.It will be great if similar campaigns are carried by others and more students 

reached ."
