ÇYDD (Association for Supporting Contemporary Life) Çağatay Education Center was opened in Ankara.

The flat donated by two sisters, Nurtekin Oyman and İltekin Aksakoglu, to the ÇYDD Ankara Branch was opened on February 8th as the Çağatay Education Center. Representing the two benefactors Aydın Oyman, ÇYDD Vice President Nihal Kızıl, Ankara Branch Executive Committee and members, benefactors, volunteers, students and parents gathered for the opening.  The ceremony started with a speech by the Ankara Branch Manager Fürüzan Bilir.

Scholarship students of the “I Have a Daughter in Anatolia” project read poems.

In her speech, ÇYDD Vice-President Nihal Kızıl told the participants that the 8th anniversary of the first Education Center was celebrated recently and that the Çağatay Education Center was the 26th such center. She explained that the center will serve with work and activities carried out free of charge for the benefit of the public and with programs to meet the demands for art and cultural subjects which no longer appear in the official curriculum for schools.  She presented Aydın Oyman who joined the ceremony to represent the family donating the flat, with a plaque.

Mr. Oyman wished success to the branch management and told that, together with his wife, they were always very happy to be able to support socially responsible projects. He reminisced about his memories from the times he lived in the flat which they donated.

The program continued with speeches by the volunteering educators who will work at the new center and the day ended sweetly for everyone by eating the cake prepared for the occasion.
