ÇYDD’s 110th Branch was opened in Akhisar

ÇYDD Akhisar Branch began serving the community under the leadership of Mürvet Topçam.  The opening ceremony held at the ÇYDD Akhisar Branch building was attended by ÇYDD Vice President Nihal Kızıl, the administrative committee members of the Izmir, Soma and Manisa Branches and the residents of Akhisar.

Branch Manager Mürvet Topçam told the audience that “ÇYDD is an NGO that brings together knowledge, capable and experienced volunteers who share the ideal to protect and improve Atatürk’s principals and reforms and who wish to carry the country above the existing level of contemporary society by bringing up progressive minded citizens through education”.

ÇYDD Vice President Nihal Kızıl shared her thoughts on the following in her speech:  “ÇYDD is above political parties.  We defend Atatürk’s principles and advocate secular (laic) education and contemporary culture. We also intend to further Ataturk’s principles and reforms. Secular education is our primary goal.  We promote environmentalism.  Our door is open to everybody who is not fundamentalist or racist.  Let’s support this branch by donating for education and attending its activities.  Our present governance  is in a state of  economic mismanagement, disrespect for the environment and  leaning towards a fundamentalist education system.  We need to change this”.
