Members of ÇYDD are mourning the grave loss of Gülriz Sururi. 

We are respectfully commemorating a life dedicated to theater, art and education.  Gülriz Sururi was one of the spearheading performers of the Republic and she will always be remembered.

Ms. Sururi believed in Atatürk’s values deeply and she was a dauntless defender of democracy. She fought for equal rights for women, stood against child marriage and always supported ÇYDD spiritually and financially.  ÇYDD expresses its gratitude and thankfulness to Gülriz Sururi for all she did for our Association.

May her soul rest in peace.
