The purpose of the fund created in January 2024 by Çağdaş Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği (ÇYDD), Türkiye Çağdaş Yaşamı Destekleme Vakfı (TÇYDV) and Teke Tek Bilim.
*To support our young people to get their doctorates abroad in basic sciences such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, technology, molecular biology, astronomy, etc.
*Strengthening the knowledge of our youth on these issues
*To move our country forward academically and scientifically by providing added value to Turkey by training qualified scientists.
While students who are eligible to receive a scholarship receive a monthly scholarship of 1000 USD in TL during their doctoral programs, they are expected to take part in projects for Turkey in a part of their academic or professional lives, to create benefits, in short, to contribute to the development of science in our country
Candidates are determined by the Selection Advisory Board, which consists of academics who are experts in these branches of science and representatives of the institutions that create the scholarship fund.
The application processes regarding the candidates are detailed by the Executive Board, which is composed of the officials of the institutions that create the fund, and communication is provided by this board.
Stage 1 applications will close on June 30, 2024 at 18:00.
Conditions of application
*To have applied for a doctorate in basic science fields like mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, technology, molecular biology, astronomy, etc. to one of the top 100 universities abroad in the 2024-2025 academic year.
*Being a Turkish citizen and under 30 years of age
*Having received a bachelor's degree in the applied field from one of the Turkish universities within Turkey and affiliated with YÖK (Council of higher education)
* To have undergraduate GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or 76 out of 100
*Knowing a sufficient level of foreign language within the scope of the applied doctoral program and having internationally accepted results
*Not working in an institution
*Preferably not receiving a scholarship from another institution
*Filling out the application form completely
*Uploading/sending the documents indicated with an asterisk during the application
Documents that will be requested from students when applications are evaluated.

*Undergraduate Diploma or current transcript (The diploma must be sent to us following graduation)
*ALES Result Certificate
*If available, YDS result document or current internationally accepted exam result document (e.g. GRE, TOEFL, IELTS, DALF, etc.).
*Family income certificate
*Certificate of residence
*Criminal Record Certificate
*Letter of acceptance to PhD from the relevant university
*Resume
*Image of the candidate's TR ID card
*Letter explaining the reason for applying to the scholarship and addressed to the Selection Advisory Board.
*Reference letters from 2 faculty members who know the candidate
Warnings
*Applications of candidates who make false statements during the application process will be cancelled. Even if these candidates have started receiving scholarships, their scholarships will be cancelled.
*Those who have started their education abroad with their own financial means or by receiving a scholarship from any organization at the time of application and until the scholarship selection process ends cannot apply for the scholarship.
*Information sharing and document submission are done via e-mail, but the candidate can also be contacted by phone. When filling out the application form, be sure to share your current information (your e-mail address (without the @edu.tr extension) and your phone number).
*Requests made after the application deadline or with incomplete documents will not be evaluated.
Application and Scholarship Selection Steps
1.Candidates who meet the application criteria and can submit the necessary documents fill out the application form from the relevant link and the documents are uploaded.
2.Applications are reviewed by the Executive Board and the Selection Advisory Board, suitable candidates for the interview are selected and notified by e-mail.
3.Interviews are conducted by the Selection Advisory Board. As a result of the evaluation, the rejected ones are revealed, the main and substitute candidates are determined, and the candidates are informed via e-mail. Details about the scholarship process are shared with the candidates included in the program. If there is a problem with the main candidate continuing her/his PhD program or if she/he gives up her/his scholarship, the substitute candidates are informed respectively and a new main candidate is determined.
4.During the scholarship period, candidates maintain communication with the Executive Board and share information about their doctoral processes.
5.Scholarship students during or after their scholarship are expected to carry out joint projects and/or research with a Turkish University or institution during a part of their academic or professional lives, to take part in projects for Turkey, to create benefits, in short, to contribute to the development of science in our country. Information on this subject will be shared with the Executive Board by the scholars, and as a result, information on the subject will be reported to all institutions.
