The "I Am Sensitive to My Environment, I Protect My Values (ÇEDES)" project, which was signed by the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Presidency of Religious Affairs, is being continued with scandals despite all our warnings. With this project, schools are opened to sects, communities and religiousization in violation of the Constitution, laws, science and basic principles of education.

If we were to remind you of the main scandals experienced with ÇEDES as reflected in the press:

On November 11, 2023, students were taken to mosque cleaning in Batman.

On December 20, 2023, students were taken to the cemetery in Menteşe district of Muğla.

On December 21, 2023, a mosque imam was brought to the kindergarten in Kocaeli.

On December 23, 2023, special education students in Karatay district of Konya were dressed in imam robes.

On January 11, 2024, teachers and students were taken to morning prayer in Dalaman district of Muğla.

On February 10, 2024, students in a secondary school in Bitlis had a rehearsal of stoning the devil.

On February 14, 2024, in Izmir's Bayındır district, a warning was given to the teacher who informed parents about the dangers of ÇEDES for students.

On February 26, 2024, a model grave was set up in a secondary school in Kars and students were asked to lament.

On February 29, 2024, in a school in Isparta, children were given knives, their hands were handcuffed and their photos were taken.

As if all these scandals and violations of the right to education were not enough, the children were taken to the cemetery by the Menemen Mufti's Office in Izmir on February 29, 2024; The grave of the sect sheikh Esad Erbili, who was tried and punished for the reactionary Menemen uprising, was visited. This is an open challenge to our national values, national consciousness and Republic revolutions.

The principle of secularism is a constitutional obligation and indispensable in the Republic of Turkey. The state cannot have a religion, the state should be at equal distance to all religions and beliefs. The Ministry of National Education cannot establish the education system according to religious principles. Just as secularism cannot be discussed, we do not give up the right to free education.

The real problems of the education system and our schools should be focused on. With increasing impoverishment, the nutrition problem of our children in our schools has now increased, the success level of our children is decreasing, the personal rights of our teachers, especially their wages, are extremely inadequate, and the quality problem in education is growing day by day. The number of classrooms in our schools is insufficient. The real problems of education are wanted to be covered up with religiousization steps.

From here, we call on all mothers, fathers and students' parents, let's take care of our children and schools. Let's keep our students away from projects and practices that are against the law and science in schools, inspect school administrations, submit petitions and file criminal complaints when necessary. Let's first protect the future of our children, then our country, secularism and our Republic.
