Çağdaş Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği (ÇYDD) is calling out with 119 branches, 23 thousand members, 25 thousand young people and millions of volunteers:

 We reject both “the education model” and the curriculum change!

An education and training program should have rationales that convince the whole society; there should be a clear and robust preparation process; there should be broad and transparent public participation; and there should be a pilot scheme to test the program. If the real goal is to equip our children and young people with modern knowledge and skills, these elements are essential.

We are faced with a fait accompli amendment that does not have any of these elements. However, curricula are a vital issue regarding what kind of society we want to live in and what kind of future we want to build. It requires seriousness, care and sensitivity.

As ÇYDD, we would like to state with the awareness of our social duties and responsibilities; We will not allow a curriculum that will serve the ideological indoctrination of our children and youth in line with the aspirations of a "vindictive and religious generation"!

We will not stand by and watch faith being turned into an imposition through curricula! We will not tolerate discrimination among the children of the nation! We will never allow Atatürk and his revolutions, the Republic, secularism, science and enlightenment to be removed from the curricula on the grounds of "simplification"! We expect a democratic country and a democratic education.

For these reasons, we reject the curriculum change called Türkiye Century Education Model.

We will never leave our children, who are the modern future of our country, alone!
