Attorney at Law Sedat Durna-Member

He was born in Sivas in 1984. In 2007 he graduated from Ankara University’s Faculty of Law. He did his internship at the Istanbul Bar. He worked for close to 10 years as a senior lawyer and advisor for numerous private sector companies and eventually opened his own law firm. He works for the various commissions of the Istanbul Bar. Currently he is doing his master’s at Bahçeşehir University’s Private Law Department. 

In 1998 he started volunteering at the ÇYDD Torbalı Branch.
He was the head of the founding youth commissions at Torbalı and Eskişehir Branches.  He worked as the coordinator of the Deniz Yıldızı-Star Fish Project.
In 2005 he became the assistant facilitator of ÇGMB (Çağdaş Gençlik Merkez Birim-Contemporary Youth Headquarters Unit). He prepared the Youth Camps Project. 
In 2006-2007 he became the facilitator of ÇGMB.
In 2011 he was one of the founders of the ÇYDD Graduates Group and he was elected Founding Principal.
In 2012 he worked on the Mentoring Project.
In 2015 he became the Vice-president of the Kadıköy Branch.
During the “2015-2017” term he was a substitute member of the Headquarters Youth Unit’s (ÇGMB) Executive Committee and he worked on youth matters as a member of the ÇYDD Executive Committee.
Currently, for the “2017-2019” term, he is a substitute member of the ÇYDD Headquarters Executive Committee.

Sedat Durna is a member of ADD (Atatürkçü Düşünce Derneği-Atatürkist Thought Association), TEMA (Türkiye Erozyonla Mücadele, Ağaçlandırma ve Doğal Varlıkları Koruma Vakfı-Fighting Erosion, Forestation and Protection of Natural Beings Foundation), Greenpeace and Önce İlke Çağdaş Avukatlar Grubu (Principal First Contemporary Advocates Group).  He speaks English.  He is married and has one child.
